CIPA Introduces An Online Business Registration System

The Companies and Intellectual Property Authority (CIPA) introduces an Online Business Registration System (OBRS). OBRS is part of the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry’s Doing Business Reforms.

The initiative will improve the ease of doing business through online company registration from the comfort of one’s home or office with easy online payments through credit/debit cards or mobile money services. Faster company registration turnaround: all companies and business names will be registered within 24 hours. Instant updates for changes in Directorship, shareholding, company secretaries and other company details.

The ease of doing business just got elevated. The OBRS is available at www.cipa.co.bw.
